Marines and MCL Members
Normally I would put out an update on what I and the MCL has been doing but we are so close to convention, I will update the membership during my report. We have a lot going on and a lot on the table for the future of the MCL.
I did want to apologize to the MCL membership on my recent Semper Fi article. Specifically, the presumptive election thank you. For those who write for the Semper Fi, you are aware that we write things months in advance and sometimes we must write 2 articles during a contested election. In my case, I sent an article that was to be published after convention and in that article, I thanked the membership for electing me to a second term. This was an error on my part and sent it out to the wrong edition. My sincere apologies. I take nothing for granted and wanted to address this prior to convention.

Hello all,
My name is Audra Walley, and I’m the Events & Sponsorship Coordinator for North 40 Outfitters. We operate 12 stores across Eastern Washington, Idaho, and Montana. Supporting our military community has always been a priority for us through donations, partnerships, and sponsorships, but one important piece has always been missing… until now!
If you’re familiar with North 40, you know about our “Patriot Night” celebrations at rodeos throughout the region, powerful tributes to those who have served and sacrificed for our country. While these events have been well received, the most common feedback I’ve heard over the years is that we don’t offer a military discount something that has rightfully become an industry standard.
I’ve worked hard to bring this idea to life at our family-owned company, and I’m thrilled to share that we are now offering a 10% military discount on most items in our stores for two days this summer. You’ll find all the details in the attached (downloadable) flyer.
This is a meaningful step forward, and while it’s just for two days right now, my hope is that, with strong community support, we can turn it into something more permanent. I’d truly appreciate your help in spreading the word to any veterans, active-duty members, or military families in our store regions.
Our store locations include communities near Malmstrom AFB, Fairchild AFB, and the Moses Lake area (common Lewis-McChord training area). Montana, Idaho, and Washington are also popular states for veterans to settle in, and we’re proud to serve them.
Lastly, if you or your organizations are ever in need of donations or sponsorships, I encourage you to complete our Community Support Form, available at north40.com. Just scroll to the black footer at the bottom of the homepage and click on “Community Support.” I’ve also included the direct link below for convenience. While submission doesn’t guarantee approval, military-related requests are always a priority in our review process.
